Class Survey
Objective: To personalize a topic; to give students more speaking time
Steps:
- Create a simple survey form with questions about the topic in the Snapshot exercise. You can write the questions yourself or have your students create the questions with you.
- Make enough copies of the survey for your students and hand one form to each student. Have your students interview three classmates.
- Students compare their classmates' answers with those in the book.
Example: The following example is for New Interchange 1, Unit 7: "We Had a Great Time!" The Snapshot appears on p. 40 of the Student's Book.

Variation: This activity can also be used as a "find someone who . . . " activity. For example: find someone who never watches TV, find someone who thinks reading is interesting, and so on.
Adaptation: You can also design surveys for Grammar Focus exercises.
