The other question
This activity is designed to be taught with Exercise 5, "Listening."
Time: 15 minutes. This activity reviews question forms and practices fluency and memory.
- Refer students to the wrong answers in Review of Units 9–12, Exercise 5. Work with the class to write a question for the first wrong answer (No, she isn't), for example, "Is Allison going to come to the party?"
- Students work individually to write questions for the six wrong answers. Let them consult with each other if you wish.
- Circulate as they work. When you see a good question for one of the answers, have the student write it on the board.
- Correct the questions on the board with the class.
- Students practice their questions and answers in pairs. Ask volunteers to act out their conversations in front of the class.
