Video
 Videos
have been produced to accompany levels 1 and 2 of Cambridge English for
Schools. Welcome to English and A World of English contain
lively and informative documentary style sequences which are based on the
six Themes of each level. The sequences are filmed on location in Britain,
Australia and the USA. Videos to accompany other levels of the course will
be published during 2000.
The videos provide:
- motivating topics which will appeal to young students
- exposure to natural spoken English
- a balance of grammar and social language
- a variety of cultural contexts
- links to other subject areas in the school curriculum.
Each video provides one hour's worth of 4 - 6 minute sequences, giving students the
satisfaction of watching and understanding a complete 'programme' of English.
Video Guide
The Video Pack includes a printed Video Guide which contains transcripts, general
hints and tips on using video, as well as interesting and engaging follow-up
activities for specific sequences.
