Professor
Jack C. Richards is an internationally recognized
authority on methodology, teacher development, and materials
design, and has taught in universities and teacher education
centers in New Zealand, the United States, Indonesia,
Hong Kong, and Singapore. He has written many successful
classroom texts and teacher resource books, including
Approaches and Methods in Language Teaching,
Reflective Teaching in Second Language Classrooms,
and Beyond Training.

Jonathan Hull has taught in Britain, Jordan, Oman,
the United States, and Micronesia. He also has been
a university lecturer in Hong Kong and Japan. His main
professional interests are curriculum design and materials
development, and his main research interest is in reading.
He is currently a doctoral candidate at Glasgow University
in the United Kingdom.

Susan Proctor has taught in many institutions and
universities in Japan, China, Hawaii, and her native
state of California. She has also co-authored two major
ESL textbook series along with a beginning level oral
communication text. In addition, she has translated
and prepared the American English editions of several
British English textbook series. |
