Cambridge English for the World
Diana Hicks and Andrew Littlejohn
Cambridge
English for the World is a communicative, task-based approach to English,
designed especially for young students.
The course features:
- content and concepts which reflect students'
own lives, interests and studies
- an approach which is effective with
mixed-ability classes
- a clearly structured, active approach to
grammar
- regular revision and evaluation
integrated project work, including the unique
- 'Parcel of English' scheme
- learner choice, decision-making and autonomy.
Cambridge English for the World consists of four levels, plus a Starter
level for learners with no previous knowledge of English.
The course provides around 80 to 100 hours of class work for each level
depending on the various options used. The Starter level provides around
40 to 60 hours of classwork. The course has a flexible design, enabling
it to be made either shorter or longer.
